Hi there.

For nearly 10 years, I've been a storyteller. The medium has changed a million times over, but I've always stayed true to my roots.

Hospitality is where everything truly clicked. I went from creating content for people to creating with people. While I watched my colleagues in the restaurants readily help each other and guests, it made me want to help even more, in any way I could. In 2020, I got my chance. For 10 months, I worked alongside restaurant staff to keep things afloat while performing my regular duties as a Social Media Manager for 10+ restaurants.

As most can say, that time was the most challenging experience of my career. And ultimately, it made me better at my job. I was able to peel back the layer between marketing and operations to see it from a new viewpoint. It raised areas for improvement that marketing could directly impact. It allowed for me to have a deeper connection with the guests, the staff, and the brand. It made me understand the responsibility marketing has to take care of all three of those elements.

I feel strongly attached to the service industry because it was the first time I saw the same level of passion, dedication, and care reflected back at me. My resilience and work ethic has never waivered, I simply found the place it's supposed to be.

Today, I work as a Director of Marketing and I thrive on taking care of my teams, the work, and most importantly, myself. I have put a lot of heart and soul into rebuilding post-pandemic, and I've helped a lot of people along the way. Something I unabashedly take pride in and will continue to do for the rest of my career. My prowess lies at the intersection of storytelling and service; that's prose for "I really like to write and help people."

I'll leave you with this. When my three siblings and I were growing up, my mom used to say, “Make good choices, but be a risk-taker.” There’s no other quote that could describe me better. Every day, I do my best to make strategic, well-informed decisions. And every day, I seek opportunities to go out of my comfort zone.

If you're ever looking to chat, I'm just a DM away. Thanks for reading more about me!
